Event Management

  • In 2018, I worked as the Event Coordinator for the Retail Council of Canada. I was responsible for implementing event registration, administration, logistics, for events, conferences & webinars. I ran 8 events over 3 months, with a total audience of over 2,500 registrants. You can find out more about the RCC by clicking here.

  • In 2018, I worked as a part-time Event Coordinator for the Toronto Sport & Social Club (TSSC). I coordinated one of their recreational sports leagues.

  • In 2018, I helped put together the Paprika Festival. We had over 600 attend the festival.

  • In late 2017, I produced Hope Goes North’s first event which featured a full-length documentary and a 4-person panel. The event had a 250-person audience.

  • In early 2017, I co-planned the University of Waterloo A Capella Club’s (UWACC) End-of-Term (EOT) concert. The event featured over 100 different singers, with as many as 86 on stage at one time, and 22 mics to handle The EOT concert had around 150 audience members.

  • In early 2017, I helped coordinate the Knowledge Integration Exhibit (KI-X). KI-X was a museum-style exhibit which was constructed over a three-day period for a two week showcase.

  • In 2016, I worked as the assistant producer for Outside Looking In at the Sony Center. I also volunteered for them in 2011.

  • In 2011, I volunteered for Planet In Focus Film Festival (PIFF).

    TED Talks

  • In 2018, I worked as a registration volunteer for TEDxToronto2018 which had over 1,200+ delegates and registrants. After the event, I was asked to help run a couple of single-speaker events. You can find out more about TEDxToronto2018 by clicking here.

  • In 2016, I had my first senior role in a TED event, at Production Director for TEDxUW2016. I lead the 4-person production team through stage construction, stage management, tech, and the live-stream. We had over 2,000 people tune in to our livestream and 500 in the audience. Theater

Producer

  • In 2017, I produced my first festival with the Toronto Summer Music Festival. I had to set up 2-3 shows per day over a 3-week period. While each performance was fairly simple, setting up mics, lights, and the stage for each one taught me to be efficient and calm.

  • In 2016, I worked as the assistant producer for Outside Looking In at the Sony Center. I also volunteered for them in 2011.

  • In 2016, I produced my first TED event, TEDxUW 2016. I lead the 4-person production team through stage construction, stage management, tech, and the live-stream. We had over 2,000 people tune in to our livestream and 500 in the audience.

Stage Management

  • In 2017, I stage managed 9 showings of PERFECTION for the SummerWorks festival. I handled cues, AVX, and SPX.

  • In 2012, I stage managed my first professional show. It was written and performed by Sebastien Heins and was directed by Frank Trotz.

  • Between 2009 and 2013, I logged in over 300 hours of backstage work at the Etobicoke School of the Arts. While it is only high-school, it is one of the best performing arts high schools in North America, and the training I received was very professional.

  • In 2018, I produced an animated dance video called Elemental with the group Defining Lines. Click here to watch the video.

  • In 2017, I produced a Youtube series called Token_Toronto featuring artist Adam Badzynski. The series featured Adam sketching parts of Toronto to reveal a different face.

  • In 2014, I produced a series called Escaping Parkinsons for Mark Correia. Mark spent a world-record 2 weeks in a regulation straight jacket to raise money and awareness for the Micheal.J.Fox foundation.

Assistant Director (AD)

  • In 2018, I was AD to the Noodle Boys’ CBC sketch series Neighbours.

Editing

  • In 2018, I produced an animated dance video called Elemental with the group Defining Lines. While I had done a decent amount of editing previously, this was my first venture with After Effects. Click here to watch the video.

  • In 2018, I editing together most of the festivals digital content.

  • In 2017, after the Toronto Summer Music Festival, I edited together the highlights and interviews from that season.

  • In 2017, while working for WeAre1188, I edited several videos, including advertisements and music videos. The first video I completed was Miss America (I now hate this song).

  • In 2016, I attempted my first YouTube channel, D’ifferent. While the channel was not a success, the constant editing and deadlines made me a better editor on Premiere.

  • Prior to 2016, I tried my hand at a variety of Youtube-based content, including Jimmy Fallow-type contests, Music Videos, and Drunk Questions.

Audio

  • In 2017, while working for WeAre1188, I was asked to audio scrape some clips using mainly Audacity.

  • In 2017, I used beats I made on Audacity as the soundtrack to the Token_Toronto series.

Production Assistant (PA)

  • In 2017, I was asked to be PA on a variety of sets.

  • In 2016, I had my first PA gig for AssignmentTV.

  • In 2018, I worked as an office administration assistant for Meredith Potter Arts Management.

  • In 2018, I did administration work for My Luscious Backyard; they are a small florist outfit who needed help transitioning from analog to digital.

  • In 2018, I worked in operations for John St. Marketing

  • In 2018, I helped put together the Paprika Festival. We had over 600 attend the festival.

  • In 2017, I worked for Revolver Films doing finance and administration work.

  • In 2017, I was the manager/agent for Mark Correia: Actor, Magician, Entertainer. I coordinated and booked him shows and handled his online promotion/ marketing.

  • In 2016, I produced my first TED event, TEDxUW 2016. I lead the 4-person production team through stage construction, stage management, tech, and the live-stream. We had over 2,000 people tune in to our livestream and 500 in the audience.

  • In 2016, I worked as the assistant producer for Outside Looking In at the Sony Center. I also volunteered for them in 2011.

  • In 2015, I worked for Communitech where I would help research and interview new applications from start-up companies.

  • In 2015, I was a Residence Don for the University of Waterloo – there was a surprisingly large amount of administrative work.

  • In 2014, I completed my first co-op position at Environcom in England.

Drummer

  • In 1999, I started taking Tabla lessons at the Toronto Tabla Ensemble. By 2010, I was one of the best young Tabla players in Canada.

  • In 2007 I starting playing the drumkit. I was fortunate enough to play with quality musicians, such as Feist, Gord Downie, and Carlos Santana.

  • In 2013, I played drums for JAMME, ESA's vocal jazz band.

Host

  • In 2016, I attempted my first YouTube channel, D’ifferent. The vision was to be similar to VlogBrothers, where my friend Jason and I would Vlog to eachother.

  • Between 2011-2013, I was the Morning Announcer at ESA.

  • Between 2009-2013, I hosted ESA’s monthly talent-show Miscellaneous.

Interviewer

  • While working for the Toronto Summer Music Festival, one my responsibilities was to interview our members of the community academy.

  • Since 2013, I have tried to organize an informational interview with a professional I respect every week in order to learn more about what it takes to succeed.

Beatboxer

  • Between 2015-2017, I was the primary beatboxer for the University of Waterloo’s co-ed auditioned a capella group the Unaccompanied Minors. We attended the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA, like from the movie Pitch Perfect) on several occasions; the highest we finished was 3rd in Canada.
