Hi there, I'm Sanjay and I've been a freelance producer since 2015. After graduating from the University of Waterloo in economics and physics, I decided the corporate life was not for me, and since then, I've specialized in live events, festivals, and broadcast, based in Toronto.
           In 2020, I started dabbling in motion graphics: creating data visualizations, brand animations, and broadcast transitions.
          I price fairly and competitively, either by a day-rate or project-rate. Due to confidentiality reasons, I am unable to share a large section of my previous work publicly, however I'd be delighted to share my portfolio with you on a one-to-one basis, so please let me know if you'd like a sneak peek.

          I started my career in the production and marketing agency world, earning my keep at a variety of agencies including John St. Advertising, Meredith Potter Arts Management, and WeAre1188.
          Over the course of my career, I've been fortunate enough to find roles in many of the arts festivals and organizations Toronto has to offer, including the film festivals TIFF, Toronto International Reel Asian Film Festival and Planet in Focus, as well as Luminato, Nuit Blanche,Wayhome Music Festival, the Toronto Fringe Festival, SummerWorks, Paprika Festival, the Toronto Summer Music Festival, and Outside Looking in.  
          Prior to covid, I spent two years as apart of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC).  
          Among other freelance projects, I am also on retainer with the Evergreen Brickworks as an event supervisor for their numerous premier events.

          My first break in broadcast was when I started working as the Broadcast and Production Director for TEDxToronto, between 2019-2022.
          Around the same time, I got promoted to be the Broadcast & Media Director for the Toronto RUSH(Toronto's professional ultimate frisbee team) after working as their Operations Coordinator for a year. I've held that role ever since, progressing from a team of 5 to a team of 13 in 2026, where we produce a 5-cameralivestream.
          I've produced sports broadcast for channels such as CBC and ESPN,and livestreams for organizations such as Sick Kids and Wealthsimple.

           In an AI-oriented world, there is less space for designers, however I've been fortunate to carve out a small niche of brand animations, infographics, and livestream assets.
